YOU'VE BEEN REFERRED TO A PROSTHODONTIST
The attending dentist, physician, or friend who referred you to this office is aware that certain oral problems require attention by a specialist. You might wonder, "What is a Prosthodontist?" A Prosthodontist is a dentist who has returned to graduate school for two to three years of additional training in the services of crowns (caps); fixed partial dentures (bridges); removable partial dentures; complete dentures; and the diagnosis and treatment of other numerous oral and maxillo-facial diseases, such as TMJ, traumatic accidents, cancer, and birth defects.
The treatment rendered by a specialist such as a Prosthodontist is most often more consuming of time and efforts than you have previously experienced. It is attention given to numerous small details, which provide the necessary ingredients for successful treatment. Goals in treatment always include emphasis on three things: comfort, function for health and well being, and a pleasant appearance.
At times, we are confronted with imperfect situations, which may prevent or lessen an otherwise optimal result. Surgical improvement or implants may allow better result to be achieved and may be taken into consideration.

IMPROVING YOUR SMILE
If you have ever been unhappy about the "look" of your smile, you may want to consult a prosthodontist. Their advanced specialty training can improve your appearance by restoring broken, discolored, or misshapen teeth. The psychological importance of cosmetic dentistry should not be underestimated, as it can greatly improve a person's self-image and quality of life.
PROTECTING YOUR TEETH
Years of eating, chewing and for many, nightly "grinding" can affect
your teeth in many ways. For example, excessive wear on teeth with
large fillings or root canals can lead to portions of teeth breaking off.
To preserve the remaining tooth and prevent breakage, a prosthodontist
may recommend various types of crowns or "caps" to restore the tooth.
Prosthodontists are experts in managing the increased complexity of
multiple tooth treatments, as well as providing "state of the art"
solutions to protect and restore natural-looking smiles.
STATE-OF-THE-ART
BriteSmile's light-activated process is completely unique.
It's not laser, UV or heat-based. Through a gentle light
source and low level peroxide gel, nothing is proven to
get teeth whiter faster.
